by Steve Zugelter of Studio+Z Films:

“Ahhh, the invigorating smell of cajun, the sweet sounds of live music flowing through the streets, and 50 of the RADDEST wedding filmmaking rockstars under the sun!  This is how I will remember the rebirth of my studio.  Re:Frame, New Orleans in October 2008 will forever be known as the three days that completely changed my business, my studio, and my outlook.  Not only was it a wealth of information, it was good times with great people.   To have been a part of this inaugural event was something special.  Prior to attending Re:Frame, my only other experience was at a MUCH larger convention where the presenters were virtually untouchable or were surrounded by so many others, it was near impossible to ask a simple question.  Not the case with Re:Frame.  Without question, my favorite feature was the accessibility of the presenters.  After the presentation, each was available for a small, open discussion where we could really pick their brains,  dig deeper and ask those specific questions and really get to know them a little more.  It was a place for meeting new people that I’ve seen on forums and also catching up with some old friends in other markets.   We were all there for one common goal, to get inspired.   From creative inspiration to creative marketing ideas, Re:Frame helped propel my studio in a whole new direction.  For me it made complete sense to attend Re:Frame Austin, in April 2009.   Again, I learned from those that are at the top of their game and shared this experience with a group of my new closest friends.  The energy was contagious, we were all jazzed and excited to get back to our studios and apply what we had learned over those three days.  Without question, Re:Frame has helped me think in new ways, create in new ways, and operate my studio in new ways.  It truly is an event not to be missed by anyone serious about taking their studio to the next level.”

Say Hello! to RF Alumni Andrew Hsu of Studio MSV. But don’t take my word for it, check out this 30 second video he created for RF Austin introducing his studio to the crowd.

Now let’s get real : With brides tightening their purse strings this year, many of us are really taking a hard look at our brand presence and finding creative ways to bring in more profits. Having personally watched Andrew’s brand image grow from average to extraordinary {Morning Star Videography = Studio MSV} I thought I’d ask this former video game artist how he was able to evolve and become one of the top studios in the San Francisco Bay Area… the answers may surprise you!

The Dates: April 27th – 29th, 2009
Where – The Omni’s Downtown Corral  – Austin, Texas

(Your 3 night stay at this fabulous property is included as part of your investment)

The Line-up – Eight workshops given by the industry’s most wanted gunslingers.
Your Urgency – Re:Frame New Orleans 08 sold out in 10 days!
Our Promise – Re:Frame events will never be ordinary – get used to it, cowpoke!

The response to Re:Frame 08 was so overwhelming that we decided to cross the Mississippi to pioneer one of the most exciting events our industry has ever experienced! We’re heading west to spend 2 ½ days with 50 of our fellow outlaws who are looking to take their efforts to the next level!

The reasons you should steer yourself to Austin to become a part of the Re:Frame community are plenty:

#1 –  Austin was recently named the top city in the country to live, work and make movies by Movie Maker Magazine.  It’s the ultimate town to soak up the knowledge about designing your own picture shows.

#2 – Austin’s official motto is the “Live Music Capital of the World,” and Austin has given birth to and nurtured such legends as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lucinda Williams, Janis Joplin, Willie Nelson, and hundreds of others.  You will never lack for a top-notch live performance by some of the most talented pickers and grinners this country has to offer.

#3 -  While Austin’s official motto regards music, it’s unofficial motto is “Keep Austin Weird.”   This town has a vibe that personifies the goal of the Re:Frame experience – to establish a relaxed feel of community among a unique bunch of characters that will foster a synergy of creativity.”

#4 – Your bunkhouse for this roundup will be  The Omni Austin Hotel in downtown.  It is a magnificently appointed, luxury hotel that will provide you with comfort and style to throw down your bedroll after a hard days work on the ranch.  Inside, you’ll find thoughtfully appointed accommodations with spectacular vistas. Outside, you’ll find Texas at its best!

For your pleasure, mosey on down two blocks to the lively 6th Street Entertainment District where you will find the hottest music venues and  saloons to shake a hoof.  Ease on down to the 4th Street Warehouse District for some upscale bbq or mexican vittles at the chuckwagon of your choosing!

We reckon’ the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown provides the ultimate in elegance, comfort and convenience.  Just 11 miles from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, the Omni is a quick horseback ride from the moment you touch down in the Lone Star State.
